Efectos de un taller grupal psicoeducativo en la adicción a videojuegos en un grupo de adolescentes

Resumen

El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo principal demostrar la eficacia de un taller psicoeducativo grupal basado en técnicas cognitivo-conductuales, sobre la conducta adictiva a los videojuegos en un grupo de adolescentes de la escuela Instituto Bolívar. Para este estudio, se utilizó una metodología de enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño de investigación cuasiexperimental pretest - postest de un solo grupo. Se tomó como muestra 12 jóvenes del Instituto Bolívar en un rango de edad de 13 a 16 años, identificados con problemas de adicción a los videojuegos, según la evaluación pretest realizada mediante el instrumento Evaluación y prevención de la adicción al internet, móvil y videojuegos (ADITEC-M). Se aplicó una intervención de cinco sesiones, una cada semana, con una duración de una hora y media (90 minutos); y con la intención de determinar si hubo una disminución en la conducta adictiva a los videojuegos, se aplicó el instrumento ADITEC antes y después del tratamiento, evaluando dimensiones como el juego compulsivo, la abstinencia y los problemas relacionados a la conducta adictiva. El resultado del estudio arroja que hubo una disminución significativa en la conducta adictiva del grupo de adolescentes después del tratamiento, reduciéndose de una media de 97.14 percentiles a 69.58, lo que indica que el programa psicoeducativo fue eficaz para reducir las conductas adictivas y el tiempo utilizado en videojuegos.
