Abstract

The general objective of the research was to evaluate the effects of behavioral strategies in addressing conflicts in six multigrade educational, Bugaba district,Chiriquí, during the 2021 school year. We worked with a population of 119 fourth, fifth and sixth grade students, with their respective guardians and 11 teachers. It was a mixed study with a descriptive, explanatory and correlational scope of behavioral strategies applied by teachers in the face of conflicts. The main results obtained were the high frequency of conflictive situations of academic management. It was found that teachers apply behavior modification techniques and as an alternative means attempts are made to apply mediation, little management of the phases of mediation was evidenced, since one or the other is applied, but the process does not occur. In its whole. It is concluded that the disciplinary measures that are handled are usually the cause of conflicts, which aggravates the situation and it is necessary to implement school mediation processes in the curriculum and thus strengthen the culture of peace in educational centers at the national level.
